From fiber selection to weaving and finishing, each stage contributes to the structure and behavior of an industrial textile.
Fiber selection
Fiber type and proportion define the blend. SPRING FR® 4.5 OZ combines meta-aramid, para-aramid and anti-static fiber.
Spinning and weaving
Fibers are made into yarns. During weaving, warp and weft yarns interlace to form the fabric structure.
Coloration and finishing
Color can be incorporated during fiber manufacture or after weaving, depending on the process. Functional finishes are defined in the specification.
Evaluation and garment making
Testing, intended care, sewing thread and garment components are considered alongside the final application.
